Installing and Connecting Channel D on Roku Devices


Roku Setup and Pairing
Step 1: Initial Roku Setup

  • Select your language.

  • Connect to your Wi-Fi network and enter your password.

  • Let the device install any system updates.


Step 2: Pair Roku Remote and Control TV

  • Use the Roku remote to control your TV.

  • Enter your TV brand when prompted.

  • Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the remote and volume.


Step 3: Activate Roku Device

  • Create or log in to your Roku account.

  • Enter your email address when prompted.

  • Check your email to activate your Roku device.


Installing Channel D

Step 4: Access Roku Home Screen

  • After activation, you'll be brought to the Roku Home Screen.


Step 5: Search for Channel D

  • Navigate to “Streaming Channels.”

  • Use the search bar to type in “Channel D” (make sure to include a space before the "D").


Step 6: Add and Launch Channel D

  • Select the Channel D thumbnail from the results.

  • Click “Add Channel” to install.

  • Open the Channel D app.


Step 7: Enter Practice ID

  • Once launched, enter your 6-digit Practice ID.

  • This ID is found in the top-left corner of your Channel D dashboard on your computer.


Step 8: Verify Content Display

  • Your TV will now display the videos you selected via the Channel D dashboard.

Prevent Screensaver and Power Save Mode

Step 9: Disable Screensaver Settings

  • From the Roku Home Screen, go to:

    • Settings > Theme > Theme Packs

  • Turn off wallpaper animations and disable screensaver.


Step 10: Turn Off Auto Power Savings

  • Go to Settings > System > Power > Auto Power Savings

  • Uncheck "Auto power off"


    It should look unchecked, then press OK.


Troubleshooting

Step 11: Check for Updates

  • From the Home screen, go to Channel D.

  • Roku will automatically check for updates.

  • Let updates complete to keep the app working smoothly.


Step 12: Reinstall If Needed

  • If the update was interrupted or corrupted:

    • Highlight Channel D.

    • Select “Remove Channel.”

  • Reinstall by searching “Channel D” again from the app section.
