Installing and Connecting Channel D on LG Smart TV


Initial LG TV Setup

Step 1: Begin Setup Process

  • Press the OK button on your LG remote to begin setup.

  • Select your preferred language.


Step 2: Connect to Wi-Fi

  • Choose the strongest Wi-Fi signal from the available list.


Step 3: Accept Terms and Enable Auto Updates

  • Agree to LG’s terms and conditions.

  • Make sure Automatic Updates are turned ON.


Step 4: Sign in to LG Account

  • Sign in or create an LG account.

  • Click “Done” once complete.

Install and Launch Channel D

Step 5: Open the Apps Section

  • From the home screen, click the Apps field.


Step 6: Search for Channel D

  • Type “Channel D” into the search field (ensure there's a space before “D”).

  • Click on Channel D when it appears in the results.


Step 7: Install the App

  • Click Install to download the Channel D app.

  • It will now appear on your LG Home Screen.


Step 8: Enter Your Practice ID

  • Launch the app and enter your 6-digit Practice ID.

  • You can find this on the top left of your Channel D dashboard on your computer.


Step 9: Confirm Video Playback

  • Your selected Channel D videos will now play on your LG TV.


Step 10: Move Channel D to Easy Access

  • Reposition the Channel D app thumbnail to a more convenient place on your TV home screen.


Prevent Sleep Mode Interruptions

Step 11: Turn Off Energy Saving

  • Go to the Home Screen > System icon > General > Energy Saving.

  • Turn Energy Saving OFF.


Step 12: Why It Matters

  • Turning off Energy Saving prevents the TV from suspending playback.

  • Suspension will interrupt Channel D video streaming.


Troubleshooting

Step 13: Reinstall If Needed

  • If an update fails or the app behaves incorrectly:

    • Go to the Channel D icon, press OK, and select Delete.

Step 14: Reinstall Channel D

  • Reopen the Apps section.

  • Search for Channel D, download, and reinstall.
